So, what sort of job am I looking for?
Read on and I'll tell you...
- As a very experienced administrator, I would be perfect for an office job. I would like to take the next step and become a supervisor or manager so I could utilise the skills and knowledge I've gained over my past career to a higher degree.
- As I have worked for the Environment Agency for over 14 years I have a good knowledge of the Environment Act, PPC regulations and the Water Resources Act . I also have good health and safety knowledge as I was an active union health and safety rep. With this in mind, I would be perfect for an EHS role in a company that is regulated by the Environment Agency.
- Sales. Not just any sales though. I'd need to believe in the product I'm trying to sell, so I'd be a fantastic bike sales person. Or nice cars, like Audi, BMW, Mercedes or other prestigious brands.
- Recruitment. I'd like the opportunity to become a Recruitment Consultant. A lot of businesses seem to be turning to Recruitment Consultants to fulfil their staffing requirements these days. I know this is more a sales role, but I didn't include it in the sales bit because I like the idea of being able to help people in a position like me find work.
- Computers/IT. I'm pretty good with computers and I seem to pick up new skills pretty quickly when it comes to using computers. However, I don't know much in the way of programming languages or html, but you could teach me if you wanted to.
- Anything!!!! Seriously. I just want to work and provide for my family. I will consider anything. However, I really want something I can make a career out of, with progression prospects and the opportunity to enhance my skills.
- Maybe you have an idea what I could do? You might see something in this website that makes you think I could be good at something completely different. I'm seeing my redundancy as an opportunity to learn completely new skills and to start a new career path in a totally different direction if the need arises. I don't mind starting at the bottom if there are good, solid career progression prospects.
